These fashion essential reminders will inspire you to get these last minute wedding outfit tasks completed just in time for the exciting walk down the aisle. And there’s even a little time to relax and pamper yourself: because you deserve it! Read on for more.

Try on your wedding look and make sure it fits. Do one final “bridal look” preview at home or with your wedding party: try on your wedding dress and wedding weekend outfits with the proper underwear and any shape wear you’ll be wearing. Put on your shoes, jewelry, and veil, and make sure everything is perfect. This window of time gives you the ability to make any last-minute changes or purchase anything additional for your wedding look if needed.

Buy a handheld garment steamer. If you don’t have one already, this is one of the most important last-minute wedding checklist items. If you have a bridal stylist on your wedding day, they will bring a steamer so you don’t have to worry about it. You don’t want wrinkled clothes in your wedding photos. Use the steamer for wrinkles in on your wedding outfits and your veil; it will also be helpful to have for the bridesmaid dresses and groomsmen suits if any wrinkling occurs.

Break in your wedding shoes. Wear them to make sure they are comfortable and you can walk in them. You still have time to make changes or swap out your shoes at this point if needed.

Get you hair cut and colored. You want to go your regular stylist if possible to avoid any potential surprises or upsets with a new vendor. Now’s the time to trim any split ends and ask your stylist to style and part your hair as close to how you’re wearing at the wedding so you can ensure the length and color works for the big day. Try to avoid making any big emotionally driven changes like getting bangs or cutting off all your hair that you may regret in your photos later if you don’t love it!

2 weeks before the wedding

Do a hair and makeup trail run. Don’t skip this! Your stylist can practice the hairstyle you’re planning for your wedding day, along with wedding makeup. It’s better to know what it will look like BEFORE the wedding day arrives so you can make any changes if needed.

Dry clean your wedding outfits. Make sure your dress and any other pieces are clean, pressed and wrinkle free. Now’s the time to make sure there’s no surprise stains and your garments smell fresh for your big day.

Clean your jewelry. You can use dish detergent and warm water to ensure your fine jewelry sparkles and shines.

1 week before the wedding

Get a manicure and pedicure. This one’s easy and probably on your mind already and is a great way to pamper yourself! A proper pedicure is especially important if you are wearing open-toed shoes such as peep toe heels, sandals, or going barefoot. You’ll be glad you added a pedicure and some TLC to your list.

Pack your wedding day bag. Make sure you have all your outfits, shape wear, accessories, shoes, and jewelry for each day of your wedding event. Each bride and wedding party member should be equipped with a handful of wedding day fashion essentials too.
